The retailer is set to open a new location in Dublin, 21 years after it first linked up to the popular shopping site.
Talaght Square will finally host the store after it was first attached in 2000.
It is reported that the fashion giant may move into an empty Debenhams store in the coming months.
Plans to develop a Penneys store at the South Side location have been in the works for two decades, but were put on hold by Dunnes Stores litigation and then the recession.
Oaktree Capital Management, owners of Square since 2018, obtained planning permission to expand last July, Dublin Live Reports.
Meanwhile, new Benes The store is also coming to Co Wicklow soon.
Bargain hunters and fashion lovers alike will be delighted to know that the outlet is set to open in a new shopping center in Bray.
The grand building will be built by Paddy McKillen Jr’s Oakmount off Main Street in Bray.
Spread over three floors, the 270,000 square feet project will feature 12 retail units, a new cinema, bowling alley, and restaurants.
It has already been confirmed that the occupants of the shopping center in the coastal town of Wicklow are the Stella Cinema, the Elephant and Castle, and the Wowburger.
