One lucky Lotto gambler got off to a great start to 2022 when he became the new Irish millionaire.
The player, at Co Meath, won the first prize of €1 million in Friday night’s Millionaire raffle.
The Royal County ticket holder raked in the life-changing money with Millionaire Raffle ticket number 114,263.
The National Lottery said it hopes to announce the location of the winning store on Monday.
Four other players at Carlow, Dublin and Tipperary are also sure to celebrate after winning another €100,000 first class prize in the New Year’s Eve draw.
With a total of 6,210 players winning prizes between €500 and €1 million, the National Lottery urges ticket holders to check their drawing numbers to see if they started 2022 with a win.
The winning ticket numbers for the four €100,000 prizes of Millionaire Raffle are:
• Ticket No. 401315 – Sold Online / www.lottery.ie (Carlo)
• Ticket No. 309234 – sold at Tesco Ireland, Stillorgan Shopping Centre, Stillorgan, Co., Dublin
• Ticket No. 309836 – sold at Cravens XL, Baldoyle Shopping Centre, Grange Road, Baldoyle, Dublin 13
• Ticket No. 041660 – sold at Tesco Ireland, Borrisokane Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary
In addition to the first-class prizes, there were 10 prizes of 10,000 euros, 30 prizes of 5,000 euros, 165 prizes of 1,000 euros and 6000 prizes of 500 euros. Players can check their tickets at lottery.ie.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said yesterday: “We are appealing to all of our players who have a New Years Eve Millionaire Draw ticket to check their tickets carefully today.
“If you are one of the big winners of the night who won 1 million euros and 100,000 euros in prizes, sign on the back of your ticket and call the National Lottery Claims Team at 1800666222 or email the prize to be paid.
“And of course, players Carlow, Dublin, Meath and Tipperary weren’t the only winners from last night. We saw 6,205 other players welcome the new year with windfall gains.

Nearly 30 per cent of every €1 spent on all National Lottery games is due to good causes, with €254 million raised in 2020 alone.
